Inspired by many to sing; Destine a 24 yr old Rochester, NY native is ready for action. Her passion for music and love for singing has claimed her destiny in life (hence the name Destine).
Growing up, Destine never revealed to anyone her love for music and singing. Her reasoning which she now says "self-esteem and self-worth" caused her to be silent. "People don't even understand the affect that they have on individuals when they speak negatively". "Not anymore" she states-becoming more mature and realizing God is the only one that can judge her in life.
Her mission for her craft is to enlighten others and give back to those who influenced her music. Dealing with many situations and overcoming the obstacles that have come around; this Singer/Songwriter is ready to take the mic and give new meaning to the music industry.
Her first single "My Address" drops soon, so be on the look out. Also in the process is her debut album 'Destined since 83' (date-TBD).
Performed at Rochester nightclubs-VENU and WaterStreet Music Hall, backup vocals for other artists, collaborations and many other talents. Many upcoming events for this grateful artists-keep your eyes and ears open!!
Destine was named "Best Female Artist" at the USIA awards; which is an Independent awards show that was held this past year. Destine is the first artist to receive this award. Congrads!!!
