She is a supremely talented singer songwriter producer and style icon. She has been the ‘one to watch’ in music industry circles for a long time. It was never a question of “if” but “when” she would burst onto the main stage arena with her powerful vocal ability and stand out self penned songs. Stubbornly unique and single minded Lucy refused to compromise her art for the sake of a quick manufactured rise to the top only to be burnt out when you get there! She does not do gimmicks and by choice she has gone down the independent music route because she says that is where the real music is happening. Lucy loves the fact that her music is ‘underground’ as this gives her music as certain edginess. Behind the scenes Lucy has worked meticulously hard on developing her artistic performance and it is only now that she says she feels ready to take the world centre stage. In 2007 Lucy set up her own independent record label called Pink Penny and this gives her the artistic control over her career that is crucial to her development as an artist. Lucy’s music is difficult to pigeonhole. She describes her songs as “Pop crossed with other genres”. She has an authentically big classic soulful voice mixed with quirky punk/rock/rnb elements. This is what gives Lucy’s sound its uniqueness. Lucy is currently finalising her debut album and with a video already shot her big break is only around the corner. Lucy is currently playing select live shows throughout the UK and the audience reaction so far is amazing. She performs with her accomplished live band called The AppleSeeds. Lucy’s passion is live performance and this is where she gets to showcase her alter ego “the Brit Chick”. Brit Chick is the flamboyant side of Lucy that comes alive on stage. Lucy has always made waves wherever she goes. When she walks into a room you know she is there. She is attracting a growing list of sponsors all keen to be associated with her growing public awareness. With her steadfast desire to succeed expect to hear good things from this London girl in the coming months.
