Since 2001 Mabus have been working hard booking east coast tours and numerous local shows. After some necessary line up changes and early demos Mabus released their first LP on Glacial Records entitled, "Cheer's, to Doomsday Gloom" in 2006. The album has since been met with much acclaim receiving rave reviews from fans, magazines and B- list gore movie actors. Mabus play a progressive and energetic metal with tight tempo changes, heavy grooves, with exciting lyrics, which display sadistic and satirical portrayals of life whether good, bad or just plain ugly. Inspired by bands such as Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Pantera, Converge, Tool, the Deftones and many other genres including Hip Hop, Jazz, and folk, Mabus emerges with complex grooves, jazz/blues beats. Their sounds on-slought rolls into their relentless live performances which has helped them build a fan base. Aside from the virginal sacrifices, fire chanting, and devil worship Mabus are a debonair group of gentlemen and scholars.
