While P. Novakane’s bars & hooks rise to greater levels so does his demand. Already contributing to upwards of seven thousand cd sales and playing a lead role in the Maverick Entertainment Platinum Series DVD release “Rap War One” which was distributed nationally. His “Fade Away” single topped the college charts at #2 on Rap Network, # 4 on Rap Attack and held the # 16 slot on Insomniac Magazine. While not limiting his music to underground media outlets, Novakane also gained commercial radio support with six hundred plus spins at over thirty BDS (Broadcast Data Systems) reporting stations, WWKX/RI, WDHT/OH, WUBT/TN, WQHT/NY and KISS/LA leading the way. Scoring points on the street with his consistent verbal assaults in freestyle battles and mix tape appearances; it’s clear that he’s destined to break new ground in the hip-hop community. Novakane’s “Fade Away video, which only added to the excitement, transformed his lyrical wizardry into bursting colors and full action on the small screen. His video received heavy rotation at local video outlets and reached a national audience on BET’s “The Next.”

This  verbal architect built a name for himself with his group’s (The Burnaz) infectious single releases “We Don’t Give A …” & “Once Upon A Hood Life.” Their most popular single “Once Upon A Hood Life” peaked on the college charts at # 5 Rap Attack, # 5 The network, # 7 Bre, # 8 Technicians and # 12 Insominac Magazine. As the front man for the Burnaz, Novakane has performed at colleges and clubs all over the tri-state area. Highlight performances include, a joint performance with the legendary Doug E Fresh and as an opening act for WU Tang’s Killah Army at Rutgers University. While constantly being on the grind producing music and keeping his music fresh and on the street, Novakane found himself on MTV’s voted Top 10 DJ of 2004, DJ Vlad’s “Unsigned Heat” section of his website. (www.djvlad.com) P. Novakane’s new Mix-tape “Home Sour Home” was voted on MTV’s Mixtape Monday as a “Don’t Sleep: Other Notable Mix-tape selection.”

Novakane is armed with a style that is familiar yet very distinct. With tracks like “Stories of My Life Time”, Novakane takes listeners through a detailed journey of his life. P. Novakane carves vivid illusions with his words that evoke intense emotions. With clever word play, punchlines, metaphors and subliminal messages, Novakane can keep his street credibility, while still being commercially viable. In the street anthem “Gangsta”, he’s outwardly glorifying being a thug, but inwardly he’s also dropping a jewel many people miss, “Professors can’t teach this young ni**as are taught to floss/ before their teeth hit/ the cycle’s repeated.” In short, he demonstrates his ability to see beyond the obvious and introduces his listeners to the world outside the box by going inside.

    P. Novakane is marketable, charismatic, personable and a true lyricist. He’s able to change flows, subject matter and spit with the best of them. Novakane’s about to make you a believer “I died and came back spittin classics/ cause in My Life After Death/ I found the Blueprint to Illmatic.”
