When you get my age, you find that many of your old friends just aren't around any more. That dawned on me about the week that Johnny Cash and John Ritter died, and I walked into one of my favorite bars, and looked around...stunned by the memories of so many old friends who used to be sitting there...but no longer available for me to talk to and drink beer with. THOSE FRIENDS WE KNEW has been used at several memorial services and funerals...I normally just sing the song without music. Feel free to use this song when YOU wand to pay tribute to any of your old friends who are no longer with us. P.S. I miss all of you.
